Welcome to my online portfolio! My name is Kimberley Johnson and I live in Pearland, Texas.
I work at PetSmart as a Retail Sales Associate providing top-tier customer service to our pet parents.
While working, I'm also a graduate student attending Kent State University pursuing a Master in Science in User Experience Design. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interactive Media Design from The Art Institute of Houston.
Back in the day, when Xanga and Myspace were popular, I created layouts which led me to the Web and Digital field. I am self-taught in creative software and web programming languages that I continue to utilize.
My experience in Web Design and Development includes working in the financial, marketing, beauty, and e-commerce industries.
Iām a team player, hard-working, steadfast, and thrive on new challenges. I believe these qualities make me a great fit for any company.
I greatly enjoy family gatherings and spending time with my parents. My hobbies include Belly Dance and snuggling with my very talkative cat Dixie!

Time Request Off App
Eliminating traditional paper forms and crafting an application tailored explicitly for PetSmart employees to submit leave requests.

Responsibilities:
- Developed two personas inspired by employees experiencing challenges with paper forms, crafted high-fidelity wireframes, and generated prototypes.
To-Do List & Reminders App
ReminderX is an app created to offer a smooth user experience, catering to individuals like students and business professionals. It lets users generate to-do list items and monitor their tasks through a digital calendar.

Responsibilities:
- Performed user research, generated low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes, and developed an interactive prototype.
CHI Haircare Website
CHI was founded by Farouk Shami, the creator and inventor of the first Original Ceramic Flat Iron. I had the privilege of contributing to enhancing his website, aiming to boost traffic and foster customer engagement.

Responsibilities:
- Added haircare products into WooCommerce and modified HTML and CSS code for enhancement and customization.
